What Is Your Favorite Golf Swing Tip?
Do you have a favorite golf swing tip? I am not sure I could narrow it down to just one. I have received many little pieces of advice from buddies and strangers on the golf course over the years. One of the most productive and simple little tips came from an unexpected source at a very unexpected place.
My wife and I were attending a Christmas party hosted by one of my co-workers. There were probably fifty or sixty people there. I knew about half of them because we work in the same office. One of the people I had not met before the party was my boss husband. I knew he was an avid golfer, so it was easy to strike up a conversation with him.
I was not even thinking about getting a golf swing tip from him. I just enjoy talking about golf in general. We discussed Tiger Woods, local golf courses, our latest round and such. He asked me what my primary trouble spot was in my game. At the time I had gotten into a bad habit of swinging too much from the outside and hitting week fades and sometimes hard slices.
Sitting right there on the couch he explained to me a simple change in my grip that would probably take care of the problem. At first, I was having a hard time understanding exactly what he meant. So he took a magazine from the coffee table and rolled it up like a golf grip. Then he used it to show me precisely what he meant. It was so simple and such a slight adjustment. I really didnt think it would make a difference.
Was I ever wrong. It wasnt long before I was out on the range. That is a great thing about living in Texas, golf is almost year round. Anyway, I made the change to my grip and started hitting shots much straighter. It became almost impossible for me to swing from the outside. That golf swing tip took me well into the following spring and summer.
Here is another good golf swing tip on video. I hope you enjoy it.
