Golf Swing Path - A Great Video Drill
A good golf swing path can be very difficult to achieve. Even though it is those vital 2 inches at the bottom of your swing when the club meets the ball that really matters, getting to that point depends on the golf swing path. Below is a great little video drill that can point out any flaws in your golf swing path.
The video is a little grainy and the quality is not the best. But I really like the drill. It is one of those drills that give you instant feedback. Based on the position of the shaft in relation to your body, you can tell if your golf swing path is on plane and in the proper position. It can even give you a literal slap in the face when you get it wrong!
I had come up with something similar to this drill to try to help to keep my shoulders and arms swinging together. I put the shaft up my left arm and tried to maintain contact between the grip of the club and my left shoulder.
I was having a problem with my hands lagging too far behind in my downswing. My variation of the drill helped a little but was not very practical when trying to swing at full speed.
Now back to the video shown here. It looks like a very good drill to maintain the proper golf swing path. I plan on trying it out a few times for myself.
