Golf Practice Drills - Can You See Yourself In This
Golf Practice Drills - Can You See Yourself In This One?
There is almost an unlimited supply of golf practice drills available free with just a click or two of the mouse button. Some drills can be done with nothing but the club and maybe a ball. Others require the use of a household item like a chair or even a towel. Still, a few golf drills require a specialized golf practice aid.
I found a video of a golf practice drill that uses a neat little device to help with both putter alignment and the length of the putting stroke. It uses a simple mirror with a notch cut out of it. The mirror has some alignment markings and some pre-drilled holes around the edge so that you can use some long tees to hold it in place on an actual putting green.
Take a look at the video and see if you are as intrigued as I am.
I can see that it might take a few putting strokes to get the mirror aligned properly so that any slight break in the putt is accounted for. But once it is in place you should have a great tool setup to grove your stroke.
The extra tee placed near the back of the mirror will help keep your backstroke consistent. Placing a ball about twice the distance in front of and just to the outside of the mirror will remind you of the amount of follow-through needed.
Even thought the video did not mention it specifically, I can see where standing with your eyes over the mirror and seeing both your reflection and the reflection of the putter will help tremendously with your stance.
Of all of the golf practice drills and golf training aids I have seen recently, I really like this one. I just dont know where to get one. But you can bet that I will be on the lookout and scouring the web tonight.
